What are long tail keywords?

Long tail keywords are well-targeted search phrases that have low competition and search volume but higher conversion rates.The need for Long Tail Pro was born out of the experience of spending countless hours searching for low competition keywords. Our software allows users to generate hundreds or thousands of unique “long tail” keywords in a matter of minutes based on 1 single root keyword or multiple root keywords at once.

How can I apply a coupon to my account?

If you have an existing Long Tail Pro account, and you receive a coupon discount, you can apply it to your account by following the steps below.

  1. Navigate to your Billing Information page.
  2. Click Change Plan in the plan information area.
  3. Select the Add Coupon button.
  4. Enter the promo code and click Apply Coupon.
Why can’t I login to Long Tail University?

If you can’t log in to Long Tail University, it is probably because your account hasn’t been created yet. We are working on integrating LTU into the app, but at the moment, we need to create all accounts manually.

Existing Long Tail University Subscribers

If you already have an account but are now unable to log in, please contact the team, so we can reset your credentials. Provide the following information:

  • Inform the team that you need your Long Tail University credentials to be reset.
  • The name used to purchase Long Tail University.
  • The email used to purchase Long Tail University.
Why can’t I export keywords and competition analysis?

This problem occurs when using Safari as your browser. This is because Safari blocks us from downloading files to your computer.

Solution 1: Use a Different Browser

Chrome, Firefox, and Internet Explorer are all able to export data from the app when the “Export” button is clicked. If you have another browser already installed, we recommend using Long Tail Pro from that browser.

Solution 2: Rename the “Unknown” file

Our development team has implemented a workaround for this issue. However, we are not able to name the file properly with this solution. Instead, the data will be saved to your Downloads folder with the name “Unknown.” If you rename this file to something like “long-tail-pro-keywords.csv”, you will be able to open it and see all of your keywords.

What do I do if I am unable to log in or reset my password?

If you are unable to log in, and you get the message “this email does not exist” when trying to reset your password or activate your account, then no account was found in our database for the email address you entered.

Please start by checking the following:

  1. Make sure there are no spelling errors in the email address.
  2. Make sure you are using the same email you used to sign up.

If you are still not able to log in or reset your password, follow the instructions below for assistance.

Can I get global search volume in Long Tail Pro?

Unfortunately, Long Tail Pro  does not provide global search volume data.

In order to provide accurate data, we pay for data from two external services, and neither of these services provides reliable global search volume. Because of this, we have chosen to focus exclusively on providing accurate local search volumes in LTP Cloud.

Why are results missing for some manual keyword searches?

Here are the primary reasons that your manual keywords might not have results:

No Data in Google Keyword Planner

In many cases, Google does not provide information for an exact keyword, but instead gives information for a near match. This is a result of Google’s “bucketing,” which combines keywords that have the same essential meaning and therefore should be shown the same results. An example of this is the keyword “measuring brain waves” which has no exact result in the keyword planner. Instead, Google returns the keyword “measure brain waves”. Since we do not currently obtain data directly from the keyword planner, we are only able to provide exact match results for manual searches. Therefore, the keyword “measuring brain waves” will not show results in Long Tail Pro.

No Data from Our Data Providers

Since we no longer rely on Google AdWords for keyword data, we’re now using two third party data providers for keywords. Unfortunately, our data providers do not have complete keyword coverage, especially for some international markets.

We’re working on integrating an additional data provider with better international coverage. This is the development team’s top priority, and we are currently testing a solution, but providing this data to a large number of users is challenging. We appreciate your patience while we complete this change.

How can I get invoices?

You can export PDF invoices from the Billing Information page.

For ClickBank and JVZoo Subscribers

Unfortunately, we are not able to provide you with automatic invoices at this time. Please contact Clickbank or JVZoo support. If you wish to switch to our primary payment provider, so you can do this easily, please contact support through the chat or by email for assistance.

When will my keyword usage reset?

You can view this from your account’s Billing Information panel. Keyword usage resets in monthly intervals from your original signup date and time. For example, if you signed up on January 3, 2022 at 9:00pm, the keyword usage reset for your account will be run after 9:00pm on February 3, 2022.

If it is on or before your reset date and your usage has not reset, please be patient. The process is scheduled to run.

If it is after your reset date and your usage has not reset, please contact support. We will manually reset this for you ASAP.

How do I cancel my subscription or request a refund?

If you subscribed through our regular signup page, you can cancel within the app from the Billing Information page. Your cancellation will be processed immediately.

If you subscribed through ClickBank, or if the method above fails, please contact our support team here or through the in-app chat with your cancellation or refund request. Try to include the following:

  • Email used for purchase
  • Name used for purchase
  • ClickBank Order Number
