Start your Friday off right!
Here is our Friday Short Stack of articles, tools, and insights that we’ve come across over the course of the week and thought you might find them helpful.
1. If writer’s block is a problem for you – blogging may feel like a chore. Try out some of these productivity hacks from Nicholas Carlson that helped him write a 93,000 word book in just 6 weeks. I found it interesting that he worked mostly in 1 hour bursts, and then many times took a stroll through the park afterward to clear his mind before going back to work. There are definitely a few things worth trying in this article.
2. After working many years in a customer service role, I can appreciate how difficult it can be to consistently deliver top notch customer service to clients. One classic method for relating to a customer, which you may have heard of is called “Feel, Felt, Found.” I really like the example Len Markidan of Groove gives in this article on 3 customer service techniques you should have about how the “Feel, Felt, Found” method was what won him over to being a coffee lover. If you are in a service business, take time to read this article.
3. This post is for me, if for nobody else. 824 Power Words written by Andre Dubois. This post is a step-by-step, straightforward approach to start engaging your audience in ways that you’ve never thought possible. (Read the post and you’ll appreciate what I did there…)
